Dilip Kumar anxious, Saira Banu blames pending court case
The senior actress states that he shouldn’t be bogged down with such worries at this age
Even while the 94-year-old Dilip Kumar was undergoing a series of medical tests at his Pali Hill residence on Monday morning, there was high anxiety on an entirely different front.
An 18-year-old court case which has been pending against the thespian is to come up for judgment hearing at the metropolitan magistrate court in Girgaum, Mumbai, on Tuesday. Dilip Kumar was honorary chairman in a company against which a case was filed.
“Dilip Saab was unwittingly involved in this case,” his wife Saira Banu stated when SpotboyE contacted her. She added, “I can’t elaborate on the case since it is sub judice. All I can say that such a case causes absolute anguish to Saab who needs rest and peace of mind. Does Saab deserve to be confronted with charges at this age?”
Around noon today, Saira Banu had tweeted on the ailing actor’s Twitter account (TheDilipKumar) that the court matter coming up on Tuesday has caused “serious consternation and stress” and that his legion of his fans should support and pray for him at this hour.
Saira Banu added that it was her brother, Sultan, who handled several responsibilities for her. He passed away on January 15. She is now striving to multi-task – looking after Dilip Saab’s fluctuating health, running the household and dealing with unexpected situations.
